Stephen Warnock told BBC Radio 5 Live that Carlo Ancelotti is making Everton ‘appealing’ and ‘acceptable’ for those ‘world-class’ players to join the club amid the Isco rumours.
The former Premier League left-back thinks Ancelotti is making those top-quality players think ‘I am quite happy to go to Everton because they are starting something exciting’.
The Mirror claimed that Everton are favourites to sign Isco when the January transfer window opens and the Real Madrid playmaker is open to moving to Goodison Park.
Warnock thinks that someone like Allan wouldn’t have moved to Everton if Ancelotti wasn’t in charge and he shared his thoughts on the club now having the ‘pull’ in the transfer market.
“The big thing is that they have Ancelotti,” said Warnock. “They have got money behind them and you are now attracting players. The other day, they were getting linked with Isco.
“Now, Everton would never have got linked with Isco a couple of years ago. But Ancelotti, such is his pull and such is a desire for players to play under him, players will be on the phone to their agents saying ‘If Everton are available and they want me to play then I am quite happy to go to Everton because they are starting something exciting’
“Get that one big player through the door and everyone else follows. Not everyone wants to be that first player. James Rodriguez is that world-class player then its acceptable to go to Everton and play for Ancelotti.
“Do you think Allan would have gone to Everton under Marco Silva? Would he have been brought away from Napoli to play for Silva? I am not so sure. Ancelotti makes it appealing.”

The two standout buys for Everton this summer were Allan and Rodriguez – both had worked with Ancelotti previously.
There’s no doubt that, on the pitch and off the pitch, Ancelotti is making major changes to the Merseyside giants and they will be hoping it results in them earning European football.
After such a strong start to the new season, the Toffees have suffered back-to-back defeats and this is where the Italian’s experience and know-how will come into play.
