La Liga forward Largie Ramazani insists he is ‘happy’ at Almeria amid claims that Everton are trying to bring the one-time Manchester United youngster back to the Premier League, speaking to La Voz de Almeria.
The speedy Belgium U21 international certainly has unfinished business in England.
Ramazani rejected a new contract at Old Trafford before moving to Spain during the summer of 2020, perhaps concerned that first-team football would be out of his reach at a Man United side hot on the heels of Jadon Sancho at the time.
Having featured in every one of Almeria’s 15 La Liga outings so far in 2022/23, that decision has certainly been justified; Ramazani finding opportunities much easier to come by at the Power Horse Stadium.
According to AS, Everton lodged an enquiry about the one-time Charlton Athletic prospect during the January transfer window. But while the chance to show United what they’re missing may appeal to Ramazani, the diminutive 21-year-old is in no rush to leave an Almeria outfit sitting 13th in Spain’s topflight.

“I am happy here. I want to continue working. We’ll see what happens,” says Ramazani, who has a £35 million release clause in his contract..
“I’m only focused on Almeria. I don’t know anything about the (transfer) market or my future,” he adds, via Diario de Almeria. “I want to help the team, I just want to do that.
“It is my great objective at Almeria this season.”
A centre-forward equally comfortable in a wider role; Ramazani scored nine times in 2021/22 as Almeria secured their return to Spain’s first division. He is one of a number of exciting attackers on the radar of an Everton side stuck in the relegation zone following Tuesday’s humiliating 4-1 home defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Toffees have had a loan bid rejected by Aston Villa for Danny Ings (Daily Mail). Mislav Orsic has also been linked, but looks set to join Southampton instead.
“I spoke with some players about the opportunity to leave. But not with him,” Aston Villa boss Unai Emery said after Ings scored an equaliser in the 1-1 midweek draw with Wolves. “I didn’t speak to Danny about (leaving) The idea is to keep him in the squad.”
“The club hasn’t told me anything (about any bids). Danny is a very good player in the first XI. Against Brighton (before the World Cup) he scored two goals. And, usually, he gives an impact. Today, we needed him and he helped the team like we needed.
“I’m really so happy with him, his commitment at the beginning and then his performance tonight.”
