Liverpool fans have been left emotional after Jordan Henderson and Virgil van Dijk both showed up to support their teammates against Real Madrid last night.
As Liverpool warmed up, the injured duo both watched on, seemingly to try and motivate the team.
Unfortunately, the presence of two of their most important players was not enough to inspire Liverpool to victory.
The Reds had chances, but couldnβt find a breakthrough as they drew 0-0 with Madrid, and exited the competition.
But Liverpool supporters were still proud of both Henderson and Van Dijk for showing such passion for the club, and wanting to be involved on the big occasion.
Liverpool will be desperate to get Henderson and Van Dijk back sooner rather than later.
The pair have been a big miss, and are both likely to be sidelined for the rest of the season.
Henderson and Van Dijk will now rely upon their teammates to ensure that they play a part in a Champions League next term.
Liverpool are fighting for a top four place, and can now solely focus on domestic competition, after failing to turn things around last night.
