Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Reds posted footage of a session from the AXA Training Centre.
What’s the story?
Well, Liverpool released a new ‘Inside Training’ video on their official website, in which we can see Harvey Elliott back out on the grass.
The 18-year-old can be seen alongside Nat Phillips in non-contact training, as the pair step up their recovery from injury.
Elliott hasn’t played since the 3-0 win over Leeds at Elland Road on September 12th, where he dislocated and fractured his ankle following a challenge from Pascal Struijk.
The teenage wonderkid has been a big miss for Jürgen Klopp, as he was playing some great football before his unfortunate injury.
In regards to Phillips, the 24-year-old hasn’t played since his Man of the Match display against AC Milan in the Champions League.
The centre-back suffered a fractured cheekbone in that 2-1 win on December 7th, and has been forced to watch from the sidelines.
Harvey Elliott return is huge for Liverpool

Klopp doesn’t really have a midfielder like Elliott in his squad.
The left-footed prospect had been deployed as a No.8 before his injury occurred, coming in from the right in similar fashion to Bernardo Silva at Manchester City.
It was working well, as Elliott linked up effectively with Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
However, there has been a distinct lack of creativity in that role since Elliott was injured, as the likes of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain continue to struggle when asked to change games.

In fact, the Liverpool No.67 is Klopp’s only left-footed option in central midfield.
Simply put, the sooner Elliott is back and available for selection, the better.
For now, let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying after spotting Elliott at the AXA Training Centre…
