Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after seeing what Thiago wrote in response to the club’s Instagram post.

What did Liverpool post?

Well, when asking fans to name Sadio Mané’s best goal, Liverpool posted 9-second footage of his strike against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

Surely, you remember it.

The Senegal international beautifully took Virgil van Dijk’s long-range pass under his control, before jinking past Manuel Neuer and chipping the ball home.

Of all his 97 goals for Liverpool, it was certainly within Mané’s best ten strikes, in our view.

It helped Jürgen Klopp’s side eliminate a juggernaut on their way to winning a sixth major European cup.

However, Thiago didn’t seem happy with the club’s post.

In hilarious fashion, the Spaniard commented ‘not a funny one’ after seeing Mané’s goal again.

Of course, the Spaniard was playing for Bayern Munich that day, so he surely felt a lot of sadness at seeing that goal bounce into the net.

It knocked his side out of the Champions League, and even though he now plays for the Reds, he surely doesn’t remember that strike fondly.

Thiago can’t feel too bitter about it still, surely.

The 30-year-old has since won the Champions League with Bayern Munich, in a season which saw him win the treble under Hansi Flick.

Thiago also has another winners medal in his cabinet, having won the competition with Barcelona.

Hopefully, he can make it a hat-trick next season with the Reds.

For now, let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about Thiago’s comment on Instagram…
