Liverpool might have to invest a sizeable sum in Filip ‘new Ronaldo’ Stevanovic with his Partizan Belgrade manager Savo Milosevic ‘convinced’ that the young forward will cost more than £10 million, speaking to Sport.Onet.
While it’s fair to say the teenage winger has a long, long way to go before he can really be mentioned in the same sentence as a five-time Ballon D’or winner, there is a reason why Stevanovic has been likened in some quarters to a young Cristiano Ronaldo.
He is a real threat drifting in of the left-hand side onto his favoured right foot after all. And with eight goals and assists to his name this season, the Serbia U21 star has exploded onto the scene in a manner reminiscent to Ronaldo in that breakthrough campaign at Manchester United in 2003/04.
90Min suggests that Stevanovic could follow in the footsteps of a Premier League great by heading to England’s north west this summer with Liverpool, rather than United, just one of many European sides who have expressed an interest.
And Partizan manager Milosevic is confident that, when Stefanovic does leave, it will not be on the cheap, claiming that the jet-heeled forward is the most talented member of his squad.

“Central defender Strahinja Pavlovic has already been bought by Monaco for £10 million, and they immediately loaned him to us. There is a big future ahead for him, but I think that Filip Stevanović has even more talent,” claims the 102-cap Serbian legend.
“He is only 17 years old and I am convinced that he will leave for even more money (than £10 million).”
With big-money signings likely to be shelved for this year at least, Liverpool are expected to focus on bringing some of Europe’s brightest talents to Anfield once again.
Stevanovic is one of a whole host of teenagers who have been linked with Jurgen Klopp’s side, alongside Gustavo Maia, Talles Magno and Chelsea’s Faustino Anjorin.
