‘I’m coming back’: Everton player delivers injury update & hails influential summer signing

Everton defender Niels Nkounkou has shared on his Instagram story that he will be ‘coming back’ from his recent injury knock on Thursday.

The 20-year-old also hailed summer signing James Rodriguez for being an influential figure and claimed that ‘you can only learn’ from the Everton playmaker.

Nkounkou was doing a question and answer session on his Instagram story when he was asked the following questions:

How long will you be injured for? We need you back… He responded by saying: ‘I’m coming back on the 28th’.

He was then asked: What is it like playing with players with talent like James? To which he responded, ‘You can only learn with players like that’.

The Toffees, who have are going pretty strong in the Premier League this season, are in FA Cup action against Sheffield Wednesday today.

It will be interesting to see what type of team Carlo Ancelotti fields because this is a great chance for the Italian to lift some silverware on Merseyside.

Everton were knocked out at the quarter-final stages of the League Cup and they will be hoping to use that to go further in this competition.

It is set up for Everton to be a dark horse in this competition because they have a group of players bang in form, they aren’t in trouble in the league and they have a manager who knows exactly how to work his way through any competition.
