Lucas Torreira has sent a message to Arsenal fans on Twitter.
The Uruguay international was ruled out for the rest of the season in early March following a nasty ankle injury in an FA Cup win away to Portsmouth.
But with the global health crisis causing a hiatus in European football, Arsenal have had only one game since then – a 2-0 win over West Ham United on March 7.
There’s tentative plans for the Premier League to get back underway next month, however.
And going by his Twitter hint, it looks like the 24-year-old midfielder might be ready if Project Restart materialises.
It was supposed to be the FA Cup final today but obviously it isn’t going ahead.
That being said, Arsenal, who have won the competition three times in the last six years, are still in this year’s edition and The Daily Mail reported that the final could now take place in August.
Torreira hasn’t had a brilliant season in comparison to his first in North London, but he’s still a big player for Mikel Arteta and if he’s fit for the new run-in, even better.
