Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has told Monday Night Football, which was broadcast on Sky Sports, how he felt frustrated with Tyler Roberts’ failure to pass to him last night.
Bamford was unable to get on the scoresheet in Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
The striker had plenty of chances to hit the back of the net, but was unable to beat Alisson.
The closest Bamford came to scoring was when he hit the crossbar, after attempting to lob the Liverpool goalkeeper.
He also could have had a simple tap-in had Roberts opted to pass rather than shoot from close range.
And Bamford admitted: “I felt like we should have won. We had the chances. I’m frustrated to be honest.

“I did start to question it [whether he would score when he hit the crossbar].
“I was frustrated as well, I thought Ty should have squared me the ball. But I’m annoyed with myself I haven’t scored tonight.”
Roberts desire to shoot from such a situation was understandable, as he is yet to open his scoring account for Leeds in the Premier League.
But Bamford has previously spoken of his desire to challenge for the Premier League’s golden boot, and that dream may now be fading away, as he is five goals behind Harry Kane with time running out this season.
