Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Paul Joyce revealed in The Times that Jordan Henderson is likely to miss Sunday’s game against Leicester at Anfield.

The former Sunderland stalwart is still struggling with the groin injury he picked up while on international duty with England.

Joyce also writes that Mohamed Salah will be absent after testing positive for Coronavirus, while Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to be missing for another three weeks.

Additionally, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is yet to resume full training, while Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk are long-term absentees.

Joyce adds that Fabinho and Thiago have also been absent in recent weeks, and provides no positive update on either of them.

How much bad news is there for Liverpool?! It’s certainly pouring, rather than just raining, at Anfield right now – metaphorically speaking.

Jurgen Klopp will presumably be pulling his hair out over the raft of injury problems suffered by his title winners in recent weeks.

The Reds will barely be able to put 11 players out against Brendan Rodgers’ side at this rate!

Despite the bad news, Klopp still has the likes of Diogo Jota, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino to call upon, all of whom are potential match-winners.

Let’s see how the Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted to Joyce’s update…
