Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan of Roberto Firmino and there’s enough soundbites from the Liverpool boss on him down the years to prove as much.
But it looks like Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also a ‘big admirer’ of the Brazilian.
Liverpool are gearing up for a trip to Old Trafford this evening and Solskjaer has namechecked Firmino as one of Klopp’s players that he likes very much.
He told the club’s official website: “I’m a big admirer of the front line they’ve had for many, many years now with [Sadio] Mane and [Roberto] Firmino.”
What’s not to love?
Firmino, who has netted four Premier League goals this season including a hat-trick, could cause United serious problems today.
The Liverpool forward is in such a rich vein of form because now he has added goals to his game again.
Before, it used to be that Firmino was dangerous because of the chances he created for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
But now, the former Hoffenheim marksman has rediscovered his own golden touch in front of goal and that makes him a potential nightmare for Solskjaer’s defenders.
Of course, all eyes will be on Cristiano Ronaldo and Salah, given that they’re two of the biggest players on the pitch.
But that, going under the radar, will suit somebody like Firmino down to the ground and it’s fascinating to see if he can keep up his form at the Theatre of Dreams.
