Junior Firpo called Jack Harrison ‘superman’ on Instagram after he helped Leeds United record a much-needed 2-1 win over relegation rivals Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night at Elland Road.

Jack Harrison levelled the scores after 20 minutes and goalkeeper, Illan Meslier, thinks his teammate produced a ‘masterclass’ performance in front of the Leeds fans.

That was the 26-year-old’s third goal in his last four games, which generated a very valuable seven points for Javi Gracia’s side and boosted their chances of survival.

Given the crazy nature of this season’s Premier League battle, if you blink, then you can find yourself in the bottom three in next to no time.

That’s where the Whites have previously found themselves, but that win against Forest now sees the Yorkshire club sitting 13th in the table, but only two points separate them and 18th-placed Bournemouth, who were beaten by Brighton last night.

Nonetheless, after Leeds beat Steve Cooper’s morale-sapped side, Harrison made sure to send a message to the fans that ‘we are not done yet’.

In the comments section of his post, Firpo, who assisted with what turned out to be the winner, told his teammate ‘On Fire SUPERMAN’, whilst Meslier added ‘Masterclass’.

LEEDS HAVE A CHANCE TO OPEN UP A GAP

The crazy thing with Leeds is that if they drop points at home to Crystal Palace at the weekend, then they can soon find themselves near the bottom again.

That’s why their next two games – at home against Palace and Liverpool – are crucial in them opening up a gap between themselves and the rest of the pack.

As of this moment, nine teams are still battling it out for the drop, which is crazy when there are less than ten games of the season remaining.
