One former Manchester United player has admitted that he will have discussions about his future at his current club this summer.
Since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement from Manchester United in 2013, the Red Devils have struggled to generate good money for the players that they choose to sell.
On rare occasions, United do get decent money for their players with Dan James’ £25 million move to Leeds United back in 2021, a good example of this.
However, one example where the club did not make good money was the £10 million, as per the BBC, sale of Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira to Fulham.

Andreas Pereira on his future
Since departing Old Trafford and moving to Craven Cottage to play under Portuguese manager Marco Silva, Pereira has been a brilliant addition for the West London club.
During last season, Pereira had three goals and seven assists and he also had four goals and six assists in the 2022/23 campaign.
Speaking during a Brazil press conference, the midfielder was asked about his future at the club with reports from South America linking Pereira to Aston Villa and Tottenham.
“It’s difficult to talk about the future now, I’m completely focused on the national team. After the title, God willing, I’ll think about my future at the club. I’ll sit down with my agent and decide my future,” said Pereira, as per UOL.
UOL’s report goes on to say that Pereira had a two year agreement to stay at Fulham but that time has now passed, hence why a summer move could be on the cards.
Pereira’s importance
As mentioned, since moving to Fulham, the midfielder has shone and has really proven his worth in the Premier League.
There is little surprise to see the Brazilian linked with some of the top clubs in the division as he has proven his worth throughout his two-year stint in London.
It is unclear how much Fulham would demand for the midfielder but with his contract expiring in 2026, plus the option of a further year, the Cottagers may demand a decent fee.
