Norwich City supporters have taken to Twitter to comment on reports suggesting Manchester City’s Patrick Roberts is set to undergo a medical at Carrow Road tomorrow ahead of a loan move.

According to a report in The Sun, Roberts will become Norwich’s first summer signing with the clubs in the process of agreeing a 12-month loan deal.

Roberts was once dubbed one of the most talented players in England when breaking through at Fulham. He got a big move to Premier League champions Manchester City, but has since been sent out on loan.

He has had several spells at Scottish championship Celtic, helping the Hoops dominate north of the border while the 22-year-old City ace has also had a spell in Spain’s top-flight La Liga with Girona.

Roberts seems ready for a crack at the Premier League, and Norwich supporters appear keen to potentially have him at Carrow Road for the upcoming campaign.

Roberts, a former England U20 international, started his career predominantly as a winger but he showed versatility during his time at Celtic, often coming inside and playing through the middle.

Norwich will be hopeful he can link up with the likes of Onel Hernandez, Marco Stiepermann, Emiliano Buendia and top scorer Teemu Pukki as the Canaries bid to finally establish themselves in the top-flight.

Daniel Farke’s side may end up being one of the lowest spenders in the Premier League this season, with Roberts potentially another addition which illustrates how well they can use the market on a tight budget.
