Some Arsenal fans on social media are far from happy after it was reported that Mikel Arteta sees Ben White as a future captain of Arsenal.
Arteta seemingly thinks that White has what it takes to be a leader at Arsenal for years to come, but the fanbase don’t quite see it this way.
Now, fans weren’t saying that White isn’t good enough or that he doesn’t have the right attitude, but in Gunners supporters’ view, there is already a better candidate at the club.
Indeed, supporters have been calling for Kieran Tierney to become the next captain, and they think that White shouldn’t even be in the conversation due to how suitable Tierney is for the role.
Arteta looks to have plans to give White the armband one day, and at the moment Arsenal fans aren’t best pleased with that.
Of course, White could quickly change their minds once he signs for the club, but right now, Gunners supporters aren’t best pleased with this vision.
