Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter to Jack Grealish’s comments on Harry Kane.
The Aston Villa playmaker lauded the Spurs striker and shared how he was ‘surprised’ he didn’t win an individual trophy this season, as he told his England press conference on Wednesday.
Even though Kane finished as the Premier League’s highest goalscorer and assist-maker, he didn’t end up with the PFA’s Player of the Year award or the Premier League’s Player of the Season award.
Those fell into the hands of the Manchester City duo, Kevin de Bruyne and Ruben Dias.
And following Grealish’s comments, Spurs fans were praising him for recognising Kane’s performances and how he was seemingly disrespected this season.
Tottenham fans can now only dream of seeing Kane and Grealish link up on the domestic scene, but they’ll be able to see such action on the international stage.
Grealish will be pushing to start for England when they kick off their Euro 2020 campaign against Croatia on Sunday.
The £100 million rated player (Daily Mail) will be battling with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford, Mason Mount, Jadon Sancho and Phil Foden for a starting berth.
And if he does get the nod, then a certain Kane will be preparing himself to be well-fed, because only Bruno Fernandes created more chances (77) from open play than Grealish (70) this season despite the Villa man missing nearly three months of action.
