Reiss Nelson wrote on his Instagram story ‘I will miss you’ as his Arsenal teammate Joe Willock closes in on a move to Newcastle.
Sky Sports report that Willock has agreed to join Newcastle from his boyhood club Arsenal on a loan deal.
Whilst the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe thrive in an Arsenal shirt, not all of the academy players are riding that same wave.
Game time has been tough for Willock, but he will clearly get it at a Newcastle team very much in need of quality in the middle of the park.
Nonetheless, this is the message Nelson wrote to Willock on his Instagram story:
“God bless, you my brother,” said Nelson. “I will miss you 100x. But it’s your turn. Go show the world!
“I am behind you my brudda @joewillock.”.

With the arrival of Martin Odegaard, Wilock’s game time was only going to reduce further, so he has made the right move.
Whilst Newcastle are struggling near the bottom of the table, it is still a big club, with big expectations and pressure.
All of that will prepare Willock to become a better player regardless of whether he breaks into the Arsenal team in the near future or not.
