Dean Smith has ruled out Jacob Ramsey leaving Aston Villa in the Birmingham Mail.
Ramsey was loaned out by Villa last term to League One side Doncaster Rovers and he went on to impress in the third tier.
It was initially expected that Villa would seek to get the young prospect game time at a Championship club this season.
However, Ramsey has forced his way into first-team contention at Villa now.
The teenager was included in the claret and blues starting line-up against Stoke City last night.
And even though Villa actually lost on the evening, Smith saw enough from Ramsey to suggest that he should be kept around.

“Yeah, I’ll keep JJ around me at the moment,” Smith said.
“He had a decent performance tonight, one of the only decent performances out there tonight. Unfortunately he got the yellow card and I didn’t want to risk him.”
Ramsey has already been given his Premier League debut, and he seems to really be establishing himself as a first-team player now.
Unfortunately for Ramsey, Ross Barkley has just come in at Villa Park, and his arrival could make competition for a place in midfield even more fierce.
