Darren Bent has pretended to be upset about Thomas Partey returning to Arsenal.

The Gunners-mad pundit tweeted about Ghana’s exit from the World Cup on Friday.

Partey and his teammates finished bottom of their group in Doha following a 2-0 defeat by Uruguay yesterday.

As a result, Arsenal will now get Partey back to North London ahead of the domestic season resuming a little later in December.

The former Atletico Madrid powerhouse, a £45 million signing in 2020, has been immense under Mikel Arteta this season.

And here’s how Darren Bent reacted to the news that he’ll be coming back to Colney.

Obviously Partey would’ve loved to progress into the last-16 of the World Cup but, from an Arsenal perspective, this is absolutely good news for Arteta and co.

That’s because the Gunners have a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League to protect from late December onwards.

And having Partey back and part of the action is absolutely an advantage for Arteta’s side in their effort to keep Manchester City – who are in second place – at arm’s length.
