Sadio Mané has been speaking to Soccer AM about his rating on FIFA 22, where he answered some questions about his Liverpool teammates.

What’s the story?

Well, Mané was told that there’s only one player at Liverpool with a five-star weak foot rating on FIFA 22, and was then asked to guess.

After brutally excluding the one-footed likes of Fabinho, Joël Matip and Virgil van Dijk almost immediately, Mané finally got it.

Diogo Jota.

When expanding on the £41m man’s ability with both feet, Mané said: “Until now, I don’t know if he’s right or left foot. I will ask him because I don’t know which is his most comfortable.”

Jota arrived in September 2020, so it’s been over a year since he and the Senegal international between teammates, and the Liverpool No.10 still doesn’t know which foot is his strongest.

Clearly, the Portugal international is deadly with both feet.

Diogo Jota was a masterstroke of a signing by Liverpool

Michael Edwards has done it again – the signing of Jota was a stroke of genius from Liverpool’s Director of Football.

The 25-year-old is versatile, plays with passion, and only needs half a chance to find the back of the net.

Jota already has 12 goals this season, in which he’s showcased a wonderful variety of finishes with his left foot, right foot, and also his head.

The trio of Mané, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah seemed unbreakable, so for Jota to arrive at Anfield and do as well as he has done takes a lot of character.

Some supporters have even likened him to Luis Suárez after his recent exploits, in which he’s shown a bit of bite to his game.

The way Jota is going, he could even better the Uruguay international’s legacy at Liverpool.
