Will Leeds United’s back-up goalkeeper be ready for a first team run?

Leeds United goalkeeper Kiko Casilla is awaiting the findings of a disciplinary hearing.
BBC Sport report Casilla denies using racist language in Leeds’ defeat against Charlton Athletic earlier in the season.
It is unclear which way the FA will rule, but if his personal hearing goes against him, Casilla would be left facing a ban.
This would push back-up goalkeeper Illan Meslier into the spotlight.
Meslier, 19, signed for Leeds on a season long loan deal from Lorient.
He has not yet made his debut, instead featuring regularly for the under-23s.
Meslier has been an unused substitute for the Whites this season as he awaits a call in case of emergency.
A potential ban for Casilla would give Meslier the opportunity he needs.

Casilla has been in good form lately and his absence would be a blow for a team which boasts the Championship’s best defensive record.
Meslier is reportedly open to a permanent move to Leeds, if chances come his way [Ouest France].
A run in the team if Casilla is banned would give him the chance to show what he can do.
He needs to show he is ready, and first impressions will be everything.
If he can come in and become a settled presence right away, then he would calm nerves among fans and players around him.
Casilla might be found innocent, and Meslier’s opportunity may never come, but he needs to be ready.
