Derby’s Anya wants his side to be more clinical in the coming weeks.

Derby County winger Ikechi Anya has stated in an interview with the club’s official website that his side must improve in front of goal in the coming weeks.
The comments come after the Rams drew 0-0 with Brentford on Tuesday night and, having won by just the one goal in Steve McClaren’s first game in charge against Leeds United, a lack of goals may be something as simple as teething problems under the new boss.

But Anya has called upon his teammates to step up to the plate after a frustrating result against Dean Smith’s Brentford.
He told the club’s website: “It was a bit frustrating towards the end of the game. We had a few chances, we weren’t clinical enough. That’s something the gaffer has mentioned.
“As front players we need to work on that and as long as we continue to keep creating those chances then we will get to a stage where we start taking them.”
The 28-year-old went on to say that it may only be a matter of chance that the ball is not hitting the net for the Rams, who lie 20th in the Championship.

“We’re getting into positions where we need that little bit of luck at that moment.”
It is now an unbeaten streak of four for Derby and there is a sense of momentum, but any such turnaround in attacking fortune will need to happen very soon as they travel to high-flying Huddersfield Town for their next match.
