Rob Green believes Harry Kane put any concerns over his confidence and form to bed after the Tottenham Hotspur striker scored four as England beat San Marino 10-0 on Monday.
Gareth Southgate handed Kane his second start in three-days as he bid to secure the Three Lions’ World Cup qualification. And saw the forward score another first-half hat-trick.
Kane found the net three times in the first 45 against Albania last Friday, and followed it with a four-goal haul to draw level with Gary Lineker in the all-time England goal records.

Kane is now just five goals shy of Wayne Rooney as England’s all-time top-scorer with 48 in 67-caps at 28-years-old. Giving the Spurs star plenty of time to become the number one.
But Kane has not been prolific for Tottenham this season, with just one goal in 10 Premier League games.
Five of his seven goals over 16 appearances across all competitions have actually come in the Europa Conference League. He has also netted once in the Carabao Cup so far.
Yet despite Kane’s lacklustre Tottenham form, Green feels the striker showed with how he scored his penalty for his third England goal against San Marino that his confidence is back.
“If you were worried about the confidence and form of Harry Kane, that penalty shows he is back. An absolute rocket of a penalty,” Green said on BBC Radio 5 Live (15/11, 20:25).

Will Kane kick on with Tottenham after England goals?
Kane will hope to kick on with Tottenham after scoring seven goals with England during the November international break.
Netting as many in two games in three-days as the £200k-a-week striker had managed with Spurs all season so far.
Admittedly, the level of competition from Albania and San Marino is not on the same par as the Premier League. But scoring prolifically will give Kane a huge confidence shot.
And he was certainly not lacking any self-belief when Kane struck an unstoppable penalty into San Marino’s top corner.
