Liverpool defender Nat Phillips is reportedly on the radar for West Ham ahead of the January transfer window.
According to the Evening Standard, the Irons are keen on the 24-year-old centre-back following two big injuries to Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma, who are both out well into the New Year.
Phillips will likely depart Liverpool in 2022 after falling to fifth-choice in the centre-back pecking order. However, the defender was handed a rare start last night against AC Milan, and the Anfield cult hero impressed in Italy.
Indeed, his Cryuff-turn inside his own penalty area whilst under pressure won praise from many supporters and pundits on social media. And Liverpool fans are eager for West Ham to sign Phillips for big money.
As reported by the Athletic, Liverpool value the defender at £12m. And whilst the Reds have a strong reputation of selling fringe players for big money in the market, this transfer fee seems somewhat low for Phillips.
With the Hammers eager to sign a defender, Phillips could well be on the move to east London in January. Yet for Liverpool fans, they are not sold on the club selling the 24-year-old for just £12m.
Liverpool fans demand big fee from West Ham for Phillips

After all, the club have made some serious bank selling fringe players for big fees. And Liverpool fans are desperate for Michael Edwards to pull one last trick out of the bag before riding into the sunset.
