West Ham United already have some brilliant teenagers in their ranks and they could be about to add another one.

According to a recent report from the Daily Star, West Ham United have made initial contact in a bid to sign Barcelona youngster Jordi Mboula, and if the Hammers seal a deal for the 18-year-old it would significantly strengthen their team of the future.

West Ham already have some of the most exciting young players in the country coming through their ranks, with the likes of Reece Oxford, Nathan Holland, Toni Martinez, Martin Samuelsen and Domingos Quina all likely to break through in due course.

Right winger Mboula could form a devastating attacking trio with Holland on the opposite flank and Martinez up front, and when you consider the Barcelona teenager has eight goals in eight UEFA Youth League matches, he is definitely one to watch.

The winger scored in all but one of his appearances at that level this season and with a release clause of £4.1million he could represent quite a coup for the Hammers.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic will be all too aware of the exciting teenagers chomping at the bit for a chance and some of them should be seen next season.

But fast-forward a few years and those same players could be featuring week in, week out, so what chance they have added the exciting Mboula to their options by then?
