West Ham United have been linked with the Bournemouth player.
As reported by the Sun, West Ham United are interested in signing Harry Arter for £15million in January, but what would a move for the 27-year-old mean for Hammers youngster Domingos Quina.
The 18-year-old Portuguese midfielder is regarded as one of West Ham’s most talented prospects and he has been a familiar face on the substitutes’ bench over the last two seasons despite only managing four first-team appearances to date.
In time, Quina is tipped to become a star for club and country, yet the arrival of Arter would only make it harder for Quina to break through at the London Stadium.
West Ham boss David Moyes clearly wants and needs experienced players as he bids to build on his impressive start to life at the Hammers. However he also needs to look ahead and further limiting Quina’s prospects could come back to bit he club if he leaves in pursuit of the football his talent deserves.
He may be young, but Quina is the real deal, and Arter’s arrival will put yet another barrier in his way, with West Ham already having the likes of Mark Noble, Pedro Obiang, Cheikhou Kouyate and Edimilson Fernandes to call on.
Arter is a decent player, but in time Quina is expected to be a superstar and it seems strange to overlook him in favour of yet another midfield addition.
