Villa have been linked with a move for Forest’s in-form winger Lolley.

Aston Villa are reportedly eyeing Nottingham Forest winger Joe Lolley ahead of the summer transfer window as he continues to shine in the Championship – and that could have a knock-on effect for Jonathan Kodjia.
Lolley, 26, has been in magnificent form, having a hand in 16 goals during his 35 league and cup appearances for Forest this season. The Sun claim Villa are preparing a £12million summer move.
Villa allowed Yannick Bolasie to return to Everton without replacing him, and the DR Congo international has since joined Belgian outlet RSC Anderlecht. It leaves Villa particularly light out wide.
Jonathan Kodjia has been used as a makeshift left winger at times this season, with Tammy Abraham the club’s undisputed first-choice striker at the moment.
Kodjia, 29, has been in okay-ish form for Villa this season, scoring six goals and creating four more, but has been somewhat inconsistent. Towards the end of the window, the Birmingham Mail claimed he was interesting a French side.
Bristol City lured the Ivory Coast international to England from French side Angers SCO, and the Ligue 1 side are now said to be keen on bringing him back to the top tier of French football.

With Kodjia playing out wide, it seems as though a new winger would push him out of the reckoning. Signing Lolley in the summer would give the Ivorian no chance of first-team football, so surely a move to Angers is likely?
It remains to be seen if Villa will spend a whopping £12million on ex-Huddersfield man Lolley, with a long time before the window re-opens in July. But if Villa do sign Lolley, Kodjia could be packing his bags.
