The Hull City player has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

According to a recent report from the Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign Hull City centre-back Harry Maguire this summer, and if Spurs ultimately seal a deal it would go down as one of their best ever defensive signings.
It would be easy to dismiss the alleged interest in Maguire due to the sheer number of defensive options at White Hart Lane right now, but the Tigers defender is the real deal; a supremely talented and fast-improving centre-back who could in time become a Premier League great.
This season he has been immense for Hull and they will be desperate to keep hold of him for the long term.
That said, if Tottenham make a sizeable bid for the player, Hull’s owners may take the decision out of the manager’s hands.
Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen are the undisputed first-choice defensive pairing at White Hart Lane. However the latter is not getting any younger and Spurs’ form in the absence of one or the other certainly suggests reinforcements are required.

Maguire has Premier League experience and, at just 23, is years away from his peak.
He is a no-nonsense player with the build, confidence and innate ability to make the step up to Mauricio Pochettino’s side and this is one rumour Tottenham fans really should get excited about, especially when you consider Maguire’s current contract expires in just 16 months.
