Arsenal and Liverpool were among the clubs chasing Malcom at that time, but interest seems to have dropped.

L’Equipe have reported how Liverpool have dropped out of the running for Malcom, with other targets prioritised over the £44m-rated attacker.

And that means that if Spurs do want Malcom, then now could be the time to prove their new found status as London’s top club.

Spurs are the only side in the capital that can offer Champions League football to Malcom next season, which could put them ahead of Chelsea in the running for the attacker.

And if Pochettino does want to bring Malcom to Spurs, then doing a deal looks less complicated now than it did in the January transfer window.
