Dharmesh Sheth has claimed that Tanguy Ndombele ‘isn’t unhappy’ at Tottenham, as he told the Transfer Show on Sky Sports (10/01/22 at 5:05 pm).

This despite the Sky reporter suggesting that ‘if Tottenham had their way’, then they would sell their club-record signing.

It wasn’t a pleasant recent Sunday afternoon for Ndombele because he was booed by his own supporters.

Spurs had to come from behind to beat League One side, Morecambe, in the FA Cup and when Ndombele was subbed, the home fans made their feelings clear towards the player.

The manner in which he walked off the pitch didn’t help matters and it seems as though the signs are pretty clear regarding his future.

Transfer expert Sheth suggested that Tottenham want to part ways with the player and he would ‘consider’ making that transfer this month.

“I think if Tottenham had their way, they would like to see Tanguy Ndombele move to another club,” said Sheth.

“Talks between Spanish and Italian clubs could be on the cards here.

“As far as Ndombele is concerned, he is not unhappy at Tottenham. But he would consider a move if a suitable one came about.”

Ndombele was signed by Spurs when Mauricio Pochettino was in charge, and despite a debut home goal, things really didn’t get going under the now-PSG boss.

Things took an even worse turn under Jose Mourinho, whose forthright ways eventually saw the Frenchman become a regular for Spurs last season.

But there were still those indifferent moments in Ndombele’s form and he was hardly picked by Ryan Mason, once Mourinho was booted out.

The same questions were being asked under Nuno Espirito Santo and now he finds himself in that same boat under Antonio Conte.

All in all, it’s not a good sign for Ndombele and his future in north London.
