Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning to sign young centre-backs and there are few more promising than the Frenchman.
According to recent reports from the Daily Mail and the Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Manchester City youngster Tosin Adarabioyo and Lyon player Emanuel Mammana , which suggests Mauricio Pochettino is not standing still when it comes to his defensive options.
Both players are centre-backs, and at just 19 and 20 respectively they are very much ones for the future. But if Tottenham are already planning for life after Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, it is another Lyon defender they should be having a very close look at.
Mouctar Diakhaby is only 19 and has only featured twice for the Ligue 1 club’s senior side, but on early evidence he is a star in the making.
He made his debut against Bordeaux in early September and looked a class act in his latest outing against Juventus in the Champions League.

Lyon may have lost the clash 1-0 but Diakhaby shone throughout and based on that it would be surprising if he did not feature a lot more for the French side in the months ahead.
Having recently signed a contract until the summer of 2019, Diakhaby will not be an easy target for Tottenham to acquire, and at this stage he may not even be on their radar.
But if he continues his current trajectory the young Frenchman is going to be an absolute star and Tottenham would be wise to make their move before the great and the good of the game start paying attention.
