Some Tottenham Hotspur fans are urging Daniel Levy to pay up and re-hire Mauricio Pochettino following a report from The Times.

According to The Athletic on Thursday, Tottenham are in talks about bringing the Paris Saint-Germain coach back to North London.

And The Times claimed this morning that Spurs would need to pay £10 million to buy out the remainder of Pochettino’s contract in the French capital.

In comparison to a player, that isn’t a huge amount of money.

And here’s how some fans of the Lilywhites reacted to that report on Twitter today:

No brainer for Levy

As mentioned, £10 million isn’t a huge sum of money in football.

In fact, it’s around what Tottenham paid to sign Jack Clarke from Leeds United two years ago.

That sort of puts things in perspective for the North Londoners and Levy should absolutely pay, if it’s true.

It should be noted that other targets like Antonio Conte are available for free and with his history of silverware, he might be a better, smarter choice.

But Real Madrid will be all over him in light of Zinedine Zidane’s exit on Thursday night.

The South American is looking like the best of Tottenham’s remaining options – after Brendan Rodgers and Julian Nagelsmann said no – and £10 million is a small price to pay to get the club back to where they were under Pochettino once upon a time.
