Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after Football London reported that some players at Spurs are worried that Antonio Conte could walk away from the club.

What’s the story with Conte?

According to Football London, there are some internal concerns amongst the playing staff about Conte’s future at Spurs.

The Italian has had tumultuous relationships with owners in the past, and Spurs’ players are worried that if he isn’t backed in this transfer window, he will ditch the club next month.

Conte has only joined Spurs relatively recently, so a departure would come as a massive shock, but, as the saying goes, there’s no smoke without fire.

Time to worry?

If Spurs’ players are worried about Conte’s future, should supporters be panicking?

In short, no.

Spurs’ players’ worries stem from the idea that he won’t be backed in January, but there is reason to believe that he’ll be allowed to add to his squad.

Indeed, Adama Traore has been strongly linked, while it also sounds as though Pau Torres is a target this month.

Factor in that the report also mentions that Conte had positive discussions with Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy this week, and it doesn’t sound as though there’s much need to panic right now.
