Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Tutto Udinese revealed that the Gunners are keen to sign Rodrigo de Paul from Udinese.
What’s the story?
Well, Liverpool, Leeds and Atlético Madrid are also interested in the 20-cap Argentina international, who is a wanted man right now.
Mino Raiola was spotted in Udine, where Tutto Udinese believe he was set for talks with Udinese about De Paul’s future.
It was Leeds whose interest was most documented in 2020, when they tracked the 27-year-old closely.
The Guardian revealed that Udinese wanted £31 million from Marcelo Bielsa’s side last year.
Now, that sum has risen slightly to £34.7 million, if FC Inter News are to be trusted.
Still, £34.7 million would be a reasonable price to pay for a player who appears to be a fantastic box-to-box midfielder with great energy.

De Paul also seems to be a hugely consistent performer.
How has he fared over the past few years?
Well, the South American ended the 2020/21 campaign with nine goals and 11 assists in 38 appearances, which is very good.
20 goal involvements from midfield, in a Udinese side which finished 14th in Serie A, is some achievement.
In the 2019/20 season, De Paul scored seven goals and provided seven assists, which is – again – quite impressive.

The fact he’s building on his goal involvements is encouraging.
At this rate, you would expect him to hit double figures for both goals and assists next season, which would be brilliant.
For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about Tutto Udinese’s news…
