Darren Bent has stated that Tottenham trio Heung-Min Son, Harry Kane and Lucas Moura will ‘exploit’ Leeds on Sunday, as he told the United View.
The international break is over and Leeds fans will be glad to hear that Kane returns to domestic action having bagged back-to-back hat-tricks.
The Spurs hitman may have scored them against teams not even non-league worthy, but it’s confidence-boosting for a player with only one Premier League goal to his name this term.
And with a new man in Tottenham’s dugout, there is no doubt that Kane will be feasting on wanting to score more goals.
Bent backed his former side to beat Leeds at the weekend and he explained why it will be the first win as Spurs boss for Antonio Conte.
“I expect them (Spurs to win) because Leeds are so open in the way they play,” said Bent.
“If there ever was a team you would want to play against, if you were Antonio Conte, then it would probably be Leeds.
“I like Leeds, but going to a place like Spurs when you have Son, Moura and Kane. These guys are going to exploit these types of spaces. I expect Spurs to win that one.”
This is now a great chance for Kane to get his engine going once more and motor up those goalscoring charts.
From a psychological perspective, he will have the boost of having fresh faces at Hotspur Way and running riot for his country during the international break.
Now it’s a case of transcending that in the Premier League once more and defending his golden boot.
The only ones who will have a problem with it all are Leeds because this is bad timing for them.
