Celtic should consider selling Odsonne Edouard this summer if the money is right.

According to reports in Italy, Lazio might be interested in Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard.

La Lazio Siamonoi has reported that the Serie A club may be looking at the Hoops hitman.

The report adds that Celtic would demand a minimum of £15 million – but if Lazio are willing to pay in excess of that figure, Neil Lennon should offload him.

Edouard had a good first season as a permanent Celtic player, netting 22 goals following his club-record £9 million move from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

But he is no Moussa Dembele and if his fellow Frenchman only fetched £19.7 million, why wouldn’t the Bhoys take an offer in the region of £15 million?

Edouard isn’t a 30-goal-a-season striker and next season he might not even be Lennon’s first-choice hitman if Leigh Griffiths – who scored 40 goals in one season under Ronny Deila – hits the ground running under the manager who signed him.

It is very possible that Griffiths will be the main man up front for the Bhoys next season and by next summer Celtic might have wished that they had taken a very generous offer for the 22-year-old, if it comes.

Edouard is a very good centre-forward, not a great one, and if that sort of money is on the table then Lennon should take the money and run.
