Everybody knows Julian Ward has a difficult job at Liverpool.
Well, it’s a very tough job anyway because, well, the Reds are a massive club on a global scale.
But replacing someone like Michael Edwards, who masterminded hit after hit in a transfer context, is even tougher for Ward.
Whether it was incomings or outgoings, Edwards invariably ensured that Liverpool were definitely getting a bargain.
And if one new rumour is true, Ward could oversee a major bargain of his own next summer.

According to Paul Brown, speaking to Give Me Sport, Liverpool are the ‘dark horse’ to sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, as covered by HITC Sport.
Tielemans will be a free agent next summer and if Ward can gift him to Jurgen Klopp for no transfer fee, well it’s a stunning piece of business.
Going into next summer’s transfer window, the Belgium international will only be 26 and his next club will almost certainly get his prime years.
Remember, this is someone who cost the Foxes £40 million.
He is an excellent midfielder and strengthening midfield options will be the order of the day for Liverpool in January and the summer.
And if Ward can get someone like Tielemans, for absolutely nothing, then that’ll go a long way to helping him become as influential as Edwards was in a transfer context.
