By anyone’s standards, Arsenal are having a brilliant season.
The Gunners have won all four of their Europa League outings this season and sit top of the Premier League standings, two points clear of Manchester City.
Mikel Arteta has transformed Arsenal from top-four strugglers into – whisper it – title contenders.
But Edu has had a massive role in this project too and according to reports, the Brazilian might be about to make a huge commitment in North London.
According to 90 Min, as covered by HITC Sport, Edu is in talks with Arsenal about signing a new contract.

The report added that Paris Saint-Germain have been in contact with the 44-year-old but the former Gunners midfielder is perfectly happy at the Emirates Stadium.
And this, if true, is such an exciting and massive development.
Edu wouldn’t be snubbing a powerhouse like PSG unless he was absolutely convinced that he and Arteta could turn this project into something much bigger.
Winning the Premier League and challenging for the Champions League will be Arsenal’s long-term goal.
And if Edu rejects someone like the Ligue 1 champions, where he’d be working with the likes of Neymar and Lionel Messi and have a lot of money to sign whoever he wanted, then it’s a glowing reflection on what the North Londoners are doing.
Everyone outside Arsenal right now knows that something special is bubbling.
But turning down PSG in favour of signing a new deal with the Emirates Stadium outfit would be direct confirmation of that.
It would be a massive show of commitment and one that could make Arsenal supporters even more excited about the future.
