According to Fabrizio Romano, Leeds United are set to reward Pascal Struijk with a new contract.
The powerful Dutchman is out of contract at Elland Road in 2024 but, according to the reliable Italian journalist, an extension is very much in the pipeline.
Here’s what Romano posted on Twitter yesterday:

It has certainly been a mixed first four months of the Premier League campaign for a pretty inconsistent Leeds side, it has to be said.
However, Struijk has been one of Jesse Marsch’s more consistent performers and this, when it’s announced, is truly excellent news.
Not only because the towering central defender is a fantastic asset, but because it makes him much more valuable.
Still only 23, Struijk has a very bright future in football and if he continues to impress in the Premier League, after signing a new long-term contract, then he’s going to be worth a fortune to the Whites.
Of course, nobody in West Yorkshire will want to see him go anytime soon, but you do have to be realistic and consider the possibility that Struijk, as one of the club’s best players, might get some very tempting offers next summer and beyond.
It’ll be a sad day if he leaves Elland Road, considering he arrived as a teenager, made his number as an Under-23 player and has consistently been improving ever since.
But rest assured that Leeds will be very well compensated on that day, providing he signs this new deal.
