Scottish Premiership rivals Celtic and Glasgow Rangers are said to be interested in Glen Kamara, but it’s telling if he winds up at Ibrox.

According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic and Rangers are interested in signing Glen Kamara.

The Dundee midfielder has dazzled since joining the Scottish side from Arsenal last summer and it looks like Celtic and Rangers may be battling for his signature in the coming months.

It’s intriguing to see what kind of players new Gers boss Steven Gerrard could help bring to Ibrox, and if the Blues beat their Old Firm rivals to Kamara then it would prove that the Gerrard factor is a very real thing.

Celtic have just won a double treble in Scottish football and turning down Brendan Rodgers at the moment is a huge risk, especially to join Rangers under an unproven manager.

Glen Kamara of Arsenal looks to get play going during the UEFA Youth League match between Arsenal U19 and Borussia Dortmund U19 at Meadow Park on October 23, 2013 in Borehamwood, England,

But if Gerrard can convince the 22-year-old that the blue half of Glasgow is better for his career than the green half then such powers of persuasion should concern the Bhoys.

Joining Celtic over Rangers was a no-brainer when, say, Pedro Caixinha or Graeme Murty were in charge, but it’s different under someone like Gerrard due to his profile and if Kamara snubs Rodgers then what’s to stop other players from also favouring Ibrox over Parkhead?
