Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of Juan Foyth.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is such big fan of defender Juan Foyth that at times he has been over eager to use him.
Pochettino selected the young defender in the North London derby ahead of Toby Alderweireld, to the confusion of Tottenham fans.
Since then Foyth has been out of the side. Perhaps there is a middle ground.
The problem for Foyth is that right now he is not as good as Alderweireld and Vertonghen. Nor is he expected to be, but if he is being picked ahead of one of them it shows up.
Pochettino is putting him in a bit of an unfair position.
When Spurs signed £42m Davinson Sanchez, who is currently out injured, Mauricio Pochettino put him in a strong position to succeed by playing three at the back.

Sanchez thrived between Alderweireld and Vertonghen, and it was really impossible for it to go wrong for him.
If Pochettino wants to fast-track Foyth’s development, then he should switch to three at the back.
It would give the Argentine more game time, relieve the pressure on the youngster, and make his job easier.
