The club failed in a deal to sign the Leicester City goalie last summer.
Leicester City’s Ben Hamer
Nottingham Forest may be facing a goalkeeper crisis. Stephen Henderson, who has been the number one stopper of late, suffered an Achilles injury against Norwich City at the weekend. He looks set for a spell on the sidelines. Serbian stopper Vladimir Stojkovic is also struggling with injury and there is genuine concern that Forest may be struggling for a goalie soon.
If that is the case, Forest may be entitled to make a move for an emergency loan deal.
In that eventuality they would do well to conclude a deal they failed to finish last summer.
Forest tried to sign the Leicester City goalkeeper Ben Hamer last summer but a loan deal eventually collapsed because of the club’s transfer embargo.
Hamer remains sidelined at Leicester, with Kasper Schmeichel and Ron-Robert Zieler ahead of him in the pecking order and Forest could easily convince the Foxes to let him out, if they were given dispensation to bring in an emergency goalie in the weeks to come.

Forest fans would surely welcome an experienced professional in their ranks should they find themselves having to bring in a keeper. Hamer could be the perfect option.
