Middlesbrough may have to fend off interest in Adama Traore this summer after an impressive season for the winger in 2017/18.

The Yorkshire Post reports that Newcastle United are keen on signing Traore and are willing to pay £15million to sign the 22-year-old from their North East rivals.

The Spain Under-21 international has been a key player for Boro this term with 10 assists and five goals in 34 Championship matches, but having missed out on promotion, could be tempted by a move back to the Premier League.

Who could replace him?

The Telegraph reports that Aston Villa are in huge danger of breaking Financial Fair Play rules next term after missing out on going up themselves after losing to Fulham in the playoff final.

It means they will have to offload players and Gazette Live claims that Albert Adomah could be one of them, despite his fine campaign for the club in which he scored 14 league goals.

Adomah previously spent three years at the Riverside before his move to Villa in 2016 and as a fellow right winger, could be the perfect option to replace Traore in the role.
