Newcastle United reportedly want to sign the Burnley and Tottenham Hotspur stars.

These are strange times for Newcastle fans.
They lost their hero Rafa Benitez earlier this summer, and Steve Bruce has been appointed in his place.
And it’s safe to say that the 58-year-old’s appointment has not gone down to well at St James’ Park.
In spite of all this, however, Newcastle have just been linked with a couple of truly brilliant signings.
According to the Sun, the Magpies want to sign £30 million-rated Burnley ace Dwight McNeil, whilst the Daily Star claims that Bruce wants to bring Tottenham star Danny Rose to Tyneside for around £15 million.
And if Newcastle do manage to sign both players, they will have an incredibly exciting left hand side next season.
Rose, 29, is one of the best attacking left-backs in world football, and he really would be an incredible addition for the Toon.
McNeil, meanwhile, isn’t as established as the Spurs man, but he would be an equally exciting addition.

The 19-year-old possesses real pace, and has exceptional technical ability. He would be able to form a wonderful partnership for Newcastle with Rose down the left hand flank.
A things stand, not much is expected of the North East outfit next season. After Rafa’s dismissal, it has been pretty much all doom and gloom at St James’ Park.
Should Newcastle bring in McNeil and Rose, however, all that would change in an instant.
And the Magpies would then become a potential surprise package in the Premier League next term.
