Mark Bosnich has said that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool should make a move for Christopher Nkunku if Sadio Mane leaves in the summer transfer window, as quoted in The Mirror.
The former Manchester United goalkeeper believes that RB Leipzig forward Nkunku is an “exceptional” player who would make Liverpool a better team.
Liverpool forward Mane has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Senegal international forward has already made up his mind to leave Liverpool.
German and European giants Bayern Munich are reportedly keen on the 30-year-old forward.
Mane is out of contract at Liverpool in the summer of 2023.

Liverpool urged to sign Christopher Nkunku if Sadio Mane leaves
The Mirror quotes Bosnich as saying: “I was going to say that’s the $64million (£51million) question but it might actually cost a bit more than that.
“I was thinking about that today and watching from the Champions League, there’s the boy from Leipzig I think, Nkunku. He was somebody who really stood out for me.
“I know Leipzig dropped down into the Europa League and were knocked out in the semi-finals by Rangers but he was exceptional and that’s what I was thinking about today when I was thinking about if Mane leaves, what to do and that’s the one that came to mind for me.”
Good signing for the Reds?
In our view, RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku would be a good signing for Liverpool, but the Anfield faithful will have to be patient with him.
Mane is one of the best players on the planet and is already world class.
Nkunku is not.
Just like Mane was not when he first arrived at Liverpool.
However, like Mane, Nkunku does have the potential to make it big at Liverpool.
The 24-year-old France international is a versatile player who can operate as a centre-forward, out wide or in attacking midfield.
Nkunku scored 20 goals and gave 13 assists in 31 Bundesliga starts this past season.
The forward also scored seven goals and provided one assist in the Champions League, and found the back of the net four times in the Europa League.
