La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Juventus are waiting to see whether Manchester City sign Radamel Falcao because that may free up Stevan Jovetic.
Juventus are in the market for a striker again after the injury to Alvaro Morata and Stevan Jovetic remains their ideal man.
The Italian champions spent £15.8 million on Morata from Real Madrid but suffered a harsh blow when the Spanish striker picked up a knee injury in his first training session with the club.
Morata looks likely to return in just over a month, but in the meantime Juventus are being linked with other strikers.
The priority appears to be Jovetic, who is held in high regard in Italy after his time with Fiorentina, but Manchester City have so far moved to deny that he is for sale.
Juventus sporting director Beppe Marotta is said to be monitoring the situation with interest and could hold off chasing other targets while Jovetic’s position is clarified.
Jovetic’s former club Fiorentina have also been linked with a swoop, but it seems unlikely that the Viola could afford him unless they agree the sale of Juan Cuadrado to either Manchester United or Barcelona.
