Another week, another rumour about Antonio Conte leaving Tottenham Hotspur.
The Italian has been linked away from Spurs pretty much since the day he joined, and according to CMW, the north London club are now eyeing Luis Enrique as a potential replacement for their current gaffer.
If Conte does go, Enrique wouldn’t be the worst replacement in the world. He’s a Champions League-winning manager and he also did a decent job with the Spanish national team.
It would be interesting to see how Enrique got on at Spurs, and it would be even more intriguing to see what the future would hold for one player if the Spaniard got the job.
We’re talking about Sergio Reguilon.

Enrique, of course, knows Reguilon well from his time as Spain manager, and he gave him six caps during that time.
Six caps doesn’t sound like a lot, but when you consider the left-back competition in Spain with the likes of Jordi Alba, Jose Gaya and Alejandro Balde, that’s not a bad return at all.
It’s clear that Enrique sees something in Reguilon, and perhaps if he became the Tottenham manager, the Atletico Madrid loanee would perhaps get a new lease of life at Spurs.
Enrique uses a system that utilises a back four rather than a back five – which suits Reguilon to a tee, while that sort of tactical set-up isn’t well-suited to Spurs’ two current left-sided options, Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic.
Given that Enrique has utilised Reguilon in the past and that he uses a tactic that suits the former Sevilla man, perhaps this managerial switch could revive the Spaniard’s Spurs career.
Of course, it remains to be seen if Enrique actually ends up at Spurs, but if he does, Reguilon is one to keep an eye on.
