APOEL Nicosia are keen on signing the Chievo striker.
Thomas Christiansen
According to Ghana Soccernet, Leeds United are interested in signing Chievo striker Caleb Ekuban this summer. He has just enjoyed a brilliant loan spell in Albania. The 23-year-old scored 17 goals in 34 games for Partizani Tirana last season and Leeds are now believed to be keen.
With those scoring records, there is no wonder why Leeds are keen on the player.
But the interest has taken a very intriguing turn this week, with the appointment of Leeds’ new manager.
Thomas Christiansen, the Danish-born former Spanish international striker, has been given the job of continuing Garry Monk’s good work at Elland Road. His last management role was at APOEL Nicosia. Interestingly, it is the Cypriot side who appear to be the biggest rivals for Ekuban’s signature this summer.

The same Ghana Soccernet report claimed that the Cypriot giants APOEL Nicosia were all set to make an offer of just over £350,000 in the near future for his services.
That would fall on deaf ears, with Sigma Live reporting his club Chievo are not currently interested in letting him leave permanently and would rather see him head out on loan for a season.

Now, if Leeds want to snap up the talented front-man, they will need to do so at the detriment of Christiansen’s former club.
