Leeds United have been linked with a talented young right-back but they already have one of those.

As reported by HITC earlier this week, Leeds United are among the clubs interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion right-back Rob Hunt, but what does their alleged interest mean for Lewie Coyle.
Hunt is currently on loan at League One side Oldham Athletic. However, with competition for places tough at the Seagulls, he is being linked with a permanent summer exit.
Given his ability to play at right-back and left-back, a move for Hunt would make sense for Leeds, especially if they lose Charlie Taylor at the end of his contract.
But with Gaetano Berardi proving his worth on that side of the field, and Luke Ayling excelling at right-back for Leeds, Hunt could be brought in more as back-up than an immediate solution, potentially pushing Coyle further down the pecking order in the process.
The 21-year-old is highly rated at Elland Road but he has not yet broken through as expected, forced to play a bit-part role and potentially already having turned out for the last time this season.

If Leeds return to the Premier League in time for the next campaign, Coyle’s chances will be further hampered in the short term, with a loan move the most likely fix.
But if Leeds sign a new out-and-out left-back to replace Taylor and also bring Hunt to the club, Coyle’s battle for senior recognition will grow increasingly tough.
