Sky reporter, Kaveh Solhekol, has told Sky Sports that if Stan Kroenke was to sell Arsenal then it would be to a consortium that ‘included clubs legends’.

That will be music to the ears of Arsenal fans – amid claims that Spotify owner, Daniel Ek wants to buy the club and also wants club legends, Patrick Vieira, Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry on board.

Arsenal fans want their Arsenal back, well with a boyhood fan in Ek wanting to takeover, aided by club legends, then it doesn’t get any better than that.

But a lot has to happen for such a move to even move towards a discussion faze and that is Arsenal’s American owners wanting to sell.

Solhekol pointed out that the Kroenke’s haven’t shown any signs that they are willing to sell, but shared what would have to happen if they were looking to head for the Emirates Stadium exit door.

“I have been told that one of the owners of the six breakaway clubs has been taken aback by the backlash to their plans,” said Solhekol.

“And one of those six owners was close to throwing the towel in and he would listen to offers for his club.

“Now, there is no understanding that Arsenal is for sale but my understanding of the situation is if Stan Kroenke was to sell the club to anyone then it would be to a consortium that included club legends like Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp.”

The decline of Arsenal since the Kroenke’s took over has been utterly remarkable and pretty saddening for one of England’s historic clubs.

From being the invincibles, the most feared team in the land, to Invisibles on the pitch and the opposition enjoying their trips to Arsenal.

The Gunners have lost seven home games this season, including against Everton last time out, and with the season yet to draw to a close, that number might just increase.
